Dear Yule Author:

Hi! Thanks for picking one of these fandoms, I'm so glad we already have so much in common!

In any case, I think I'm pretty easy? Maybe? Below are some general "yes, I LOVE these things" and "please please don't" stuffs. And then I've got some fandom specific stuff. Obvs, you can listen or not, that's how this goes.

Stuff I LOVE: hurt/comfort, particularly the "learning to be loved" trope, orphans, hiding injury/illness, found family, good character development, happy endings, sickfic, I mean, slave and hooker AUs, but those kind of take a lot of work, animals, well done BDSM

Stuff that either really upsets me or actually ends with me spending days nauseated and unhappy: character death, partner betrayal, unhappy endings, poorly done BDSM, self-harm/suicide

Stuff I just don't like: mpreg, scat/roman showers, incest, character-bashing

Fandoms:

King Arthur: Okay, I chose Arthur and the Mage, and honestly, I just enjoy their relationship. I enjoy the way she challenges him but also supports him, and how he respects her abilities and doesn't treat her like the chick in the group. So, you could do pretty much anything with these two and it'd be fine.

BUT. Let me give you another option that I would be OVER THE FUCKING MOON about. Tell me ANYTHING about Arthur's relationship with the women who raised him. It can be a past-fic during his childhood, it can be a fic predicated upon the idea that some of them survived and he gives them jobs in the kingdom, it can be ANYTHING about them and I will do a Dance of Happy. Many times over.

Ready Player One: I feel like apologizing if you matched with me on this, because nine times out of ten, when I want fanfic, it's because I really liked the universe, and I just want more. That tenth time is when the universe drove me crazy, and I want someone to fix it a little. Guess which one this is?

So, as you probably noticed, I listed Art3mis, Aech, and Shoto as my characters of choice. Give me ANYTHING with these characters in a future fic and I will be pleased as punch. Maybe Art3mis works on helping women get into coding and researhing alternate fuel sources? Maybe Aech finds a way to engage young AA persons in their OWN 70s-80s-90s culture (or just discovers how much of it there IS, now that she's done living her life for a white dude's quest) or something like that for queer teens? Maybe Shoto finds ways to honor Daito's life, to help other Japanese teenagers who are in similar situations? Whatever, just. Tell me about these characters living their lives now that they have safety and cash and their own maneuverability.

Batgirl: Write me a story about Cassandra Cain. It is that simple. Have her hanging out with her sisters (Babs and Steph, or Harper, if you so please), or her brothers, or Bruce. Have her learning a new hobby. Have her discover a food that makes her happy. Adopt a weird pet. (Damian does it all the time.) Have adventures with Batcow. I genuinely do not give a shit. Just tell me about Cassandra Cain. Srsly.

Batwoman: In my dreams of dreams of dreams, I would really like a story about Kate's Judaism. And, like, something that's not Hanukah. What does she dress up as on Purim? What's her favorite filling for hamentashen? Does she eat nothing but ice cream on Shavuot and consistently tell the others it's a religious requirement? Does she make the family have a picnic every Lag B'Omer? What's a Shabbat dinner at Kate's like? Does she plan apple picking field trips before Rosh Hashanah? What are the things she atones for during Yom Kippur? Does she kidnap and make Damian help decorate the sukkah at her shul? Anything that's just a snippet of her being Jewish and I would cry from happy until I flooded my home state.

But, if that's super not your thing, you can also just tell me a story about Kate being The Gay and I will also be super happy. Like, tell me all about how getting kicked out over DADT felt, or how she felt when it was repealed, or where she was when the Sup Ct decision making gay marriage legal was, or...whatever, honestly.
