I feel bad that I didn't like this more. I liked a lot of little things, like ALL the companions, and I so hope Mickey shows up on Torchwood. But I really kind of hated the Rose/Clone!Doctor scene. I just didn't like the implication that Rose couldn't be happy without the Doctor. And she didn't even get the real Doctor, but a copy.

RE: the Rose/Doctor thing. WORD. I mean, I don't get the whole 'ship with them to begin with, and then add this ending on top? Oh well. Never much liked her character anyways, and this just cements it.

I never really liked the ship either, but I've always liked Rose (even though all the mentions in S3 got kind of tiring) and I don't think this ending does the character any justice at all. The more I think about it, the more I think it's in no way a happy ending. Even though I guess we were supposed to think it was.

Yeah, that's one of a couple of things that didn't sit well with me, most of them having to do with Rose's characterization. I think I just want her to be so much cooler than Rusty writes or Billy acts, I can't figure out who's the culprit. Was Rose meant to come off as a bit bratty on the beach? Because that's how it looked. She gets what she wants but because it's not exactly what she wants she whines about it? I pretty much redid that entire scene in my head as it was going on to make it fit better into my understanding of the characters. Lol, too much fanfiction?

Also the whole Donna thing. I'm not too worried about that though because if Rose can come back without shattering the multiverse then Donna can somehow get her memories back without her head exploding.
