Cerri's blood count is up to about 12% (from 5%), which is exactly what we've been hoping/waiting for. She still needs the oxygen tank, but hopefully she'll be able to keep going without anymore transfusions. According to the vet, if it gets up to around 18%, she'll be able to come home

I was going to mention it, but somehow I spaced trying to remember what the hell my schedule is right now.
We visited her this evening, and she was off the oxygen and doing fine. It's still not certain, and she's going to need a lot of care, but ... I think she might actually get better. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

That's great. I hope she's back to normal and home soon. Then I will come over and squish her, then scold her for scaring you.

It's quite true. It's one of those things that seems maladaptive until you consider the alternative.
Here's hoping.
