Homicide is my new favorite TV show. Aside from the slashy subtext which I'm about to squee over (which you all know I could find anywhere), it's a just great TV show. Or... was. When it was on

No no no no nonono. Elliot & Olivia, Munch & Finn, Briscoe & Green, and the rare but fabulous Lynley and Havers are the only detectives worth watching on television. Fighting crime is hard enough. Fighting bad television is double the trouble. However, the Law & Order gang seems to do pretty well for themselves, although PBS should get off it's ass and produce some Lynleys before I get criminal and send a hastily-composed, ill-worded, and quite possibly offensive missive in their direction. No.

I'm sorry, but I've seen some of Law & Order and IMHO Homicide is better. It's where Munch started!
