[Residents of 308 Miller, and perhaps some of the nearby neighbors, will be hearing a lot of clattering and yelling after school today.  For those inside, several calls of 'Rincewind, come back here!' and 'Azrael, stay there!  No, don't try to grab the cat!' will be heard.]

[Slugger doesn't live on this street but he sometimes comes this way to see if his "great-grandfather" is around (and, admittedly, to see Rincewind as well). Usually, all is calm at the house, so when he sees Rincewind scrambling through the yard toward him with his tail fuzzed up like a bottle brush, Slugger doesn't know whether to get out of the way or hold perfectly still.

Apparently, he's either undecided or he's chosen to do the latter since he hasn't moved yet...]

[Excellent. Because Rincewind is just going to run over to you and hide behind your legs. Best hiding spot ever.]

[Arslan will come out after the cat. Thankfully, Azrael's decided to stay inside. He'll stop when he sees Slugger.]

Oh... Hello.

[After picking up the cat, Slugger turns to Arslan with a nod of recognition. Then, noting how harried Arslan looks, he glances toward the house.]

What happened?

[Kitty is just going to be happy because someone he knows is holding him and the person won't feed him to the flying monster....right? Right?]

[Arslan sighs]

I'm trying to get Azrael not to eat Rincewind, but Rincewind keeps running so he tries anyway.

[Holding Rincewind inside of his jacket.]

...Who?

[rincewind_kitty]

[Yes, someone with sense. The evil monster that flies.]

Azrael. He's my eagle from back home.

Sure, if you want. We'll need to put Rincewind somewhere though... It won't be good if they go at it again.

[And by go at it you mean run away...which will happen. So yes. Put him somewhere safe please.]

[Safe place... safe place... Well, Rincewind seemed to like hiding under the steps before, so that's where Slugger sets him with the hope that he won't wander too far from the spot.

Catless and looking at Arslan again] Okay.

[Arslan nods, moving into the house. He calls out, and a moment later Azrael's out, finding a place to settle on Arslan's arm; at this point Slugger may be able to note that Arslan's sleeve is thicker on this side than the other. More makeshift items for Azrael.]
