I read an article today that was trying to explain why the religious right is so against gay marraige and the article said
"God created man and woman with certain complementary capacities, and not to use them is an insult to the Creator. Sort of like getting a TiVo but not learning how to use the record feature."

always with the Creator with those religious right folks. when i started to read your reply, i got very interested for a second, because i'd love to hear a well constructed argument against gay marriage (i'd really like to know HOW the right thinks this will destroy the moral fabric of our country)...(even though i know no such argument exists)....then i saw the amazing comparison or simile or whatever, and realized they were falling on the old "when you're a moron, unleash your best Tivo metaphor" plan... oh boy
