Cute idea! can't help with the photoshop, after graduating i swore off digital... ^^;; there's probably lots of 2d forums that have photoshop tutorials and stuff... i think there was 3Dcafe used to have some 2d stuff for texturing, but i can't remember!
just googling it brings up numerous places... O_O;

This sounds mildly strange, but google "spicy curry brush" It's fantastic. The artist on the tutorial is actually pretty good, unlike most you find out there. I'd give you the link, because I used to have it, but 'used to' is the key phrase. Anyway, this is adorable. I think his right (our left) eye is a little small, maybe you meant it that way. Again, super cute.
