not really. We live near a huge oil refinery/port and they test the sirens every 6 months. Is it quite industrial where you live?

I once heard air raid sirens when we lived in Stockton. I couldn't sleep for weeks, really freaked me out! At least I know now that it wasn't in my head :oP
