Wow. How come I haven't read your stuff before? This is a great casefile, well-woven with an interesting story and disgusting monster. Your Dean voice is great, perfect internal monologue, the way thoughts of John and Sam keep crowding in, and Dean's conflicted feelings toward both. Awesome.

ETA: Hope it's okay if I friend you, as I see we have a lot of the same friends and I'd like to see if you write something else, yeah?

Thank you so much - I'm glad you enjoyed it! I love reading good casefics, so that's the kind of thing I try to write. Hearing that I did a decent job of it makes me very happy indeed.

Of course, friend away! And thank again for reading and commenting!

Whoa. Amazing. The sparse dialogue really made me feel like I was all alone with Dean - god, so lonesome! You beautifully described exactly as I see in my head those early Standford days. Thank you!!!

Oh, it makes me so happy to hear compliments about "sparse dialogue" - one of the hardest things about this story was trying to keep a balance between external action and internal monologue. I was really worried I couldn't pull it off. I'm glad it worked for you!

Thanks for reading!

This is fantastic. Terrific casefile, and it's so restrained in its massive heartache. So, so Dean, with his contradictions. Self-sufficient yet achingly lonely and missing parts of himself away from his family. Tough yet hurting and needing help. Also, believably smart, with his case-file research and knowledge of hunting lore, Dean the hunter. God, I love this.

Thank you so much - what wonderful compliments! I'm very happy to hear that folks are noticing the things that I hoped would come across...especially "believably smart" Dean. I always get so mad when the show lets him seem dumb!

Thanks again - glad you enjoyed it!
