Somebody actually asked about the fossil! WTF? :)

Just a little ol' Ordovician seashell fossil. Kind of like these guys. The area where I live (near Cincinnati, Ohio) has a TON of these things lying around.

The one I found turned up when our front yard was dug up to replace a plumbing line. The fossil doesn't exactly make up for the $1200 bill or the giant scar in the yard, but it was kind of neat.

I never outgrew that sort of thing, either. I'm still hoping that one day I'll find a trilobite - there have been plenty found in this area. Maybe the next time a pipe breaks in the yard...
