Back from vacation

I'm back from being in Myrtle Beach for a week. I really missed the beach. Having grown up in Miami, being able to go into the salt water whenever I want, or just randomly going fishing, was part of my entire childhood. Now I rarely if ever see the ocean

I know what you mean about being near the ocean. I grew up in RI and I feel the same way. It just feels weird still to be far from the ocean, even though here (eastern PA) people drive to the New Jersey shore all the time and don't consider it "far," that's relative -- 2 hours vs. 10 minutes. :)

Yes, exactly. I looked out on that coastline and I called my mother to keep from being all homesick. I think what made it worse was driving down the road and seeing all the little t-shirt shops and the old Miami Vice colors. I grew up in the middle of tourist central...so I guess even that made me homesick.

BACK FROM HONEYMOON & VACATION:-(

I too felt very sad when we got home from Myrtle Beach. A part of me didn't want to say good bye to you all on Sunday because I knew that it would 'hurt' too much and I didn't want anybody to see me cry. I also made a 'promise' to H that we could have some quality time alone together. I enjoyed being with you and the rest of the family. It's truly hard when we live so far apart from one another especially when my own parents & siblings don't even acknowledge me. I keep reminding myself that I didn't pick my family...they are the dysfunctional ones...not me. Oh well. I hope to hear from you soon. T, H and Z are doing fine. T continues to call me 'wifey'. Keep in touch.
