White Shores Are Calling

Lord of the Rings/Silmarillion fic, for penknife, of course.

In the Fourth Age, Celebrian is in the West, but it's not as her mother said it was. (This is a happy story, I promise.)

Oh, Celebrian! And, oh, the Noldor, because - yeah. (Omg, Finrod, of course he would.)

I do like Celebrian! And Finrod. Who would. Steampunk elves! :D

And most of all I love dear bewildered Celeborn.

Oh, darlings! *sniff* I really do want steampunk Valinor, because, yes, the Noldor.

Definitely need steampunk Valinor! Because can you imagine the Noldor sitting around peacefully? Anything but that. And Finrod always was the first to want to try a new thing. So why not flying? It's fun. It's adventurous. Ok, occasionally he breaks twenty bones, but it's all good fun.

This is somehow not what Celeborn expected....

Really enjoyed that! Really loved Finrod's flying machine -- the Noldor are way cool that way -- and Celebrian's joyful reunion with Celeborn. Lovely emotion!

I'm so glad you like it! Finrod would -- and he'd have a glorious time. I can't imagine the Noldor have gotten any calmer since they got back. Shaking up the Blessed Realm indeed. And of all people, Celebrian being the one who's pushing a big change. Celeborn definitely has some surprises in store!

Thank you! I am kind of finding Celebrian, which is strange as she's not at all one of my usual types of narrator.
