I don't know why but this year's 9/11 anniversary hit me harder than those in the past. I started crying when they talked about it on the news and I had to turn the tv off.
It gets more difficult for me every year, so in perhaps some small way I can empathise. It has been seven years further down the spiral but I will not bring my views into a forum (here) where they may not be welcome. I encourage everyone who reads this to go to Countdown at MSNBC.com and watch Keith Olbermann's special comment last night. Sometimes Keith is more passionate than others but last night he couldn't even look back at the camera when the show ended and I think that is very telling.
In any event, whatever your views on what happened 11 September 2001 or this...government, I believe that we should observe a moment of quiet respect for all those who died on that day. Whatever happened, that respect is deserved.
