I tried for years to avoid it. But I needed something to read while waiting for your book to come in. It's actually not bad, as long as you don't think about the sparkliness and the massive mood swing/emo bullshit. Although I find myself laughing hysterically at events that are not supposed to be funny...I needed a good laugh
My book? You mean Key of the Xabeldi? *^_^* You'll be pleased knowing I'm dabbling in the Voltron universe again. I really just wanted another excuse to write Sven/Azura. ^^'
I've been told that the only way to really get through those books is to accept it as a parody of how vampires are perceived. I tried reading it, but I couldn't make it past the first chapter. The movie was even worse.
Yes, the movie is horrendous. I think I may have just lost it though, as I am finishing the 4th book and beginning to think "Hey, this isn't comparable to gouging your eyes out with rusty spoons as I once thought". Perhaps it has been too long since I enjoyed a truly decent work of fiction...hmmmm, I may be going senile at the young age of 24.
