Is it better to give up a life where you understand everything but you repeatedly lose yourself, for a life where your always yourself but your heart is constantly wrapped in confusion.

That's a hard question to answer. I'm stuck in that never ending cycle of confusion about myself, yet, I'm supposed to be the one with the perfect advice for everyone. I know some people better than myself but no one knows the true me because it's like I'm never myself. Who's to say what's better or worse? People always say be yourself but how can you when no one really knows how.

You know, some people say that in order to better understand others and the world around you, you must first understand yourself.

The problem is, no matter how well you think you know yourself, your heart and head will always be wrapped in a perpetual blanket of confusion from time to time. You will never fully know or understand yourself, and you will never fully know or understand others.

The best thing you can do is try to understand yourself and the world around you based on what you see and what you already know, and then to kind of play the rest by ear.
