Poor thing! It's no fun staying home when you really are sick!
It sounds like you work in healthcare in some way? Wouldn't it be extra important to not go in when you are spewing stuff into the air? Don't feel guilty.
Actually, it's a...well, mental health facility might be one way of describing it, though that isn't quite it. We are one of the larger facilities of our kind and we do everything from counseling, meds management, case management, theraputic foster care, regular foster care, family preservation services, and healthy family services. I'm only really involved in the counseling and meds management portion of it, though.
And I normally don't work with the public in my position, and I wasn't really sure I was getting sick to begin with. Yes, I felt bad, but I've had allergy attacks with the same symptoms plenty of times before, so I wasn't too concerned at that point, just miserable. It wasn't until I got the fever that I knew for sure I was getting sick, and by that point I was stuck. And stuck working with the public, no less...
So believe me, I really wasn't out to get anyone sick, because I hate it when people do stuff like that. If I'd been free to leave, I would have the moment I was sure it just wasn't an average allergy attack.
Sorry if you thought I was being accusing... THere was no way you could leave yesterday and the way you describe it, I doubt anyone who was there expected to see you today.
I didn't think you were being accusing, but I do hate it myself when people risk getting others sick. SO I feel guilty, even if it wasn't intentional, lol...
