She's made her own life! Yay!
She just cheated on her hubby with Ed! *simultaneous screech of horror and joy* (yeah, that's rough on the throat)
HE'S LEAVING AGAIN. Aaaaaaaaaah!

Very complex emotions here, both for the characters and for the one reading. I'm not sure how to feel beyond incoherent gibbering. You're pulling my heartstrings in so many directions.

Ha, I won't deny that part of my motivation in writing this - aside from my "Winry you don't need those dumb boys" impulses - was imagining Winry's side of Div, and here you are going to write it, which have I mentioned makes me so so happy? (And is sure to also make me so so sad?)

Actually... you pretty much just described my typical reaction to a Div chapter. And this is NOTHING compared to it. *wibbles*

HA that icon is SO SPOT ON. Do you know how guilty I felt writing this? How much fluff it'll take to redeem myself?

I don't know what to do with the pair myself, and I'm the one who put them in this situation. This is usually why I let you guys be the mean ones.

Gah. The ending hurts me. It's all such a whirlwind of emotion and routine behaviors and expectations and surprises. I like the redemption point - Ed's first reaction was not one of loss but relief. As the for the hanky panky later...*sigh* Their lives are so complicated.

It's Edward Elric's life. Things will always be complicated, whether by people plotting against him or his own mechanations.

(It's his own fault! He left Winry behind! He could have avoided this whole thing if he'd only grabbed the damn girl!)

I love all different versions of the FMA story, but I admit I had a hard time with the movie at first. (Until, of course, I started writing my own long, post-movie story. Heh.) I saw it for the second time last Friday, and quite enjoyed it. So now I'm even more intrigued at what sort of stories might come out of that entire anime-movie arc.

(I expect to write manga stories too, eventually -- probably long after everyone else has lost interest in FMA -- but I just don't feel like I can venture anything, till I know that entire story too.)

You'll notice that most of my stories are set post-series and glossing over most of the major details? Yeah, I'm the same way. I actually have an outline sitting on my harddrive of a big ol multichaptered manga verse fic that I won't go any farther with because... I don't know what's going to happen to Hohenheim and Ling and Scar and... anybody, really. GOD ARAKAWA.

Sometimes I think angst is really one of the few ways to show the relationship between Ed and Winry. o.0
