Whatever makes Ed shut up works for Winry. Even if it means things don't go as planned. She has decided that the sacrifice was worth it.

OMG. THAT...was absolutely hilarious. I suspected horrible things when Winry didn't want to go to Rush Valley...but it all turned out well in the end! Yay. Baby time!
