okay lets see here... with that we would have to assume that con mods can't count if negative right? a value in this thats less than 1 would be a bit mean... see, i was toying wtih (as i mentioned) 1/2 con score + either 1/2 base fort or 1/2 HD (HD instead of level because monsters should have shock values too). obviously mine ends up higher at early levels. mine would also be easy too munchkin if using the fort save based one unless i fraction saves (which i find myself leaning towards more and more). it would also be a little less harsh, and 1st level mage-types might end up with more shock value then HP, depending. hmmm... I just think its too mean to strand non-constitution focused low level characters with an average SV of 1. am I being a wuss here or considerate? i cant tell...
yeah, it does favour the heavy PC's whom have accentuated toughness, which ties directly into Shock Value. WHich of course makes sense. As far as fractional save progressions, the unearthed arcana chart needs to be re-written to be a little bit more 'viewer friendly' but otherwise works... Guess thats just something ill have too work on.
