Can anyone tell me where to find a very modestly priced Middle Eastern market? Somehow, I've lived here this long without really knowing where the Middle Eastern neighborhoods are. I'm willing to traipse my ass out to any borough, or even NJ if it's not too far from trains. I have lots of time on my hands and would love to get a hold of some ( Read more... )

There's the area on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn between Court and Hicks, or thereabouts, that has various Middle Eastern stores, including some with glassware. Anything to the Borough Hall stations, then walk south to Atlantic Avenue and west.

by middle eastern styled glassware? Are you talking in the realm of Hebron glass?

With regard to a market, I think that there might be one on Broadway somewhere between 187th and 200th Street. What products are you looking for?

I've seen really beautiful painted glasses, intended for tea I think, in other middle eastern stores I've frequented.
