I can remember hearing the sea and thinking it sounded so close it was coming into the field! Only in North Wales could you believe it would rain for nearly the whole two weeks in summer - next trip was to Miamia beach. My dad had travel concessions from BA and decided he could take no more. Although that ended up being via New York after 4 days at Heathrow having landed in a baggage strike!
