No 7: An online training event
Not particularly exciting but it was definitely new. Very odd to be existing in real time with trainer and other participants. And it had the added advantage where course not always interrupted by everyone's qurestions. You could ask by email but the tutor could take his time til the right moment to answer! -
No 6: Turning the television off

A busy day ahead! Papers to move, words to write, people to see. What I wouldn't do for a log cabin by an isolated lake and good coffee. -

No 5: Beginning a proper blog - and using tags and moods
Again may not seem much to you veterans but for me discovering moods and tags - and writing something which has structure rather than just being random - is a new thing. I feel like I have joined the wider community in a small way!
Anyway if you have any suggestions for one of my 50 "news" please let me know. I will at least consider! -
No 4: Visiting an expensive private art gallery
We were greeted by a doorman who actually opens the door for you and greets you. I've been to a number of galleries but not properly to the sort of one where they actually want to sell you stuff for large amounts of money. 50 new things?
This "new things" is becoming quite a catalyst. It creates a frame of mind.
It's challenging me to look at the way I approach things, whether I could do things differently. What starts as a small thing sort of begins to spread out. -
Off to manchester
Off to Manchester today for 24 or so hours to keep daughter company at university interview. Her first!! Using opportunity to see friend in Wigan - and maybe see old abode. Paper so I can record thoughts!! Also trying to work out the Manchester / Wigan bus service - not as easy as tfl! -
Sunday afternoon
Wasted too much time mesing about on internet. Successfully - this time - pruned apple tree. Missing life drawing - and, dare I say it, modelling! -

Managed to get sawdust in eye sawing branches off apple tree. Two hours in A & E! memo to self - saw from top to bottom
