I am loving this holiday thing. Like, seriously. I have the time to do whatever I want! I've got into baking - made a really nice Pear and Ginger upside-down cake (even if it was a bit too gingery) and then a Pear and Apple Crumble (which may have been a bit lemony - I know, strange, right?) and I'm thinking I might make a Strawberry tart next

Oh, wow, those sound like some different cake combinations, very interesting though. Tell us how they turn out? And oh man, please post a picture of that painting, if possible? :D
I used to work with chalk pastels, doing flowers but haven't in a long while. ;)
