Bunch o' dreams.

I had a bunch of dreams last night. They featured Anthony Hopkins, Don Johnson, Elton John, Boy George, Hugh Laurie and William Shatner.

001. I was in my basement and a young William Shatner was there as "Kirk." He had on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and was getting ready to go to his ship for a mission. Then he had on a black t-shirt over top the other one. I said we should go make out before he got dressed for the ship, he said he couldn't cos there was a new female crew member there and she'd see us. The woman had some sort of psychic powers or something and was useful. She went upstairs and said she'd be back in a few minutes. I had been gone over and sat on a sofa and was mad cos he wanted to keep us a secret. He said she'd be gone a few minutes and I said I didn't care, then said I was kidding and we started making out. The whole crew came downstairs and I jumped up and said he was getting ready in the back and not to bother him. He came out and nobody knew what we were doing. Then there was a party and he went off with some guys while I talked to the girl. She cut the bottom of a blue dress I had and Kirk saw and was kinda mad that I let her ruin it, but she sewed a nice fringe on it and it looked a lot better. I grabbed a matching purse and walked around. Everyone was glancing at me and I felt good about myself. I ordered a drink, then another, because I was mad that Kirk wasn't paying attention to me.

I got taken from the party and was in a bus or van with other people. A guy was telling us how there was a place that took dogs and abused them, but we'd be working at another shelter that didn't do that. We went by one large building (the "bad" one) and then were let out at the second one. I realized the guy lied and we were brought to work at the bad one. One of the dogs was out and a guy was abusing him (I forget how, thank goodness). I told the dog to come with me and he listened, so I knew I had some sort of bond with the animals. I asked the one guard (with a gun) why he stays there since he didn't seem mean. He said he worked there for 6 months and hasn't been paid but they don't let you leave. He took a beer from the guys who were higher up and got in trouble for it. I called all the dogs to gather and attack the workers so I could get away. They shot all the dogs while I was trying to stop a car to help me. Don Johnson pulled up in a red convertible and they shot him. I pushed him over in the seat and got in, ducked and sped away. I was going to get help for the rest of the dogs.

002. I was somewhere by a Halloween ride. I went on it and then waited on the bench for my mom to ride it. There was a guy on my left and Boy George was on my right. BG was flirting with the guy and kept leaning over my head so I was closed in. I said he was making me claustrophobic. He said he was sorry and stopped doing it. My mom got off the ride and asked where I had been. We all started walking and were in a store. BG and the guy stopped to talk to Elton.

My mom and I were looking at clothes and saw "House" walking around with his cane and two women. My mom said I should go talk to him, but I was too shy. I sorta spied on him and followed him around until he caught me (I came out of a room and he was looking at TVs so I acted like I was too, then went back into the room). In yet another room, there were pianos and organs. I started playing some of them (trying to find one that sounded like a piano and was loud enough for him to hear). I hoped he'd come in and say I played well. I played (not too well) and he came in.

003. In a library, I saw Anthony Hopkins walking by. I started following (I think he knew me). He signaled for me not to speak loudly because there was a woman wearing a black veil and she was watching him. I followed him through some aisles and into a very tall, open room. The woman floated by and vanished. The whole place was very familiar (I never had a dream there before, but my mind knew what had happened in there). There was a large doorway leading into a hall that was as long as the other, but it wasn't as wide and it lead to another large doorway that went outside. There was a big black web-like net on the doors so we couldn't get through. We heard a loud noise and ran for the doors we came in through as they closed before we could get out. They were made of stone. I kept thinking he'd make it through and I'd get stuck inside the room, but we were both stuck.

I saw myself as a young girl, a tom boy who liked studying survival techniques. I got a book from my backpack and sat on the floor saying how we could create water for ourselves using a sock (as a filter). Then I was myself again and I went over to the net. I knew that I had been able to get over it, but Tony had trouble and I had to coax him over it, but he eventually made it. I knew we wouldn't run out of food or water and we'd survive. I looked around to the end of the hall and saw it was getting dark outside. I saw Pterodactyls (dinosaur birds, you know) flying towards us. I told him we'd gone through this before and had to figure out (again) how to stay hidden through the night. There was a big bookcase along the wall with 3 shelf sections to it. I couldn't figure out how we had done it before. Something about piling it on top of other things in the room, but there wasn't enough time.

We got on the floor and I put it on top of us. We had to lay on our backs and put our knees up and our chins to our chests. Very uncomfortable. I hated the thought of staying that way all night. Then I was on my side, which made the bookcase come up off the ground a bit and the dinos could get their beaks in the gaps to peck at us. He asked if they got in on my side and I said yeah. I knew we'd have to start all over (it was like a game that we had to get just right and if we failed, we'd have to start over). They were breaking through the top of the bookcase, too. We started over and were standing in the room, just before the birds got there. I saw some empty barrels and wondered if we were supposed to hide in those, instead. I don't know why I didn't think to break the shelves out of the bookcase so we could just lay side by side in there and not have to squish up. But I woke up, anyway.
