I reckon many fellow fans are secretly hoping we'll get a Merlin/Arthur snog, which sadly will never happen. So I eagerly seek out the slash crumbs the beeb give us
:) Well that's really great for you. I have the same thing (though sadly I focus on the negatives if I get angry enough), which is why half my reaction post is filled with capslock love and huge font. XD;
I've always known we'd never get canon Merlin/Arthur, just "sub" text, so I like to collect as much as I can! ... and I guess I'm just missing it a little in this episode. Not that it doesn't exist, because holy god I nearly collapsed from the gei in ep1. XD; that was so awesome. ^-^;
Also coming in from merlinxarthur, I just couldn't resist commenting on how happy I am to find someone else who agrees with me that the whole Merlin/Arthur relationship is not off this season in the slightest. Half of the stuff Merlin said in front of or to Arthur this ep (like the bit about knights being arrogant, or Arthur needing attention) he never would have said early last season. Merlin is comfortable around Arthur, and Arthur loves Merlin being rude and snarky.
Also, I'm a huge slasher, but I kind of like Gwen/Arthur a lot more than I thought I would...
Heee yay! I'm glad to find ppl that are happy as well. I believe they will do us proud this season, and if ppl just sit back to enjoy, instead of looking for what's wrong, or looking for what you see in fanfic, fans would be happier.
The arrogant knights moment was one of my favourites!
I am a HUGE slasher, but also love het. I think one of the main problems is Angel was so under used last series. We're not used to her. She proved how fab she is in this ep and they DO have chemistry, so I'm gonna enjoy.
