Compressed Dreams

Compressed Dreams.

what brings you
comfort

will knowing
obliterate
your heart

why do you imagine
wings
as if their
existence
will save you

falling
away
from beauty
awaiting the sudden stop
when
they crash in ruin
do you know the direction

She said:
"I Love You."
and fell to
pieces.

rending frozen ground
makes your fingers
bleed

Aftermath of 5 dreams.

I don't always remember much about my dreams, and I wouldn't be the one to really even tell what they were. Dreams like this are visions, there are no words to explain them. These happened on different nights... but the last one. I was thinking on it at work, because I can't elude it's grasp. And all of these words fell out of my head. I've had that happen before but not at work. I couldn't do anything but write it down. When I woke up from that last particular dream I was wretching. This isn't metaphorical falling to pieces. This was watching a woman you love say the words, and then, as if it was some kind of self destruct code, fall to pieces from the inside out. I don't think I've ever been so sad after dreaming, and I've dreamt some pretty bad ones. Oddly, she had been some kind of android of a sort and had in that moment become real, so it was doubly sad, the ultimate robbery.
