I did much explaining about how different people can see source material and come up with different things. But it was hard to keep the critique light and not bogged down with adult trivialities. I think the best word would be OI! Needless to say my daughter has decided that we are watching much of the animated version this weekend. :shrug: I like it too, so what's a matter that?
No, what this post is about, is about the running discussion through the grocery store about how you can have short little scenes with people in them that tell you everything about the relationship without any words. Specifically Aang's interactions with Monk Giatso. They were transcendent, and I think both kids picked up on what it means.
Wait, this post isn't actually about that either. It's about the astonishing number of women smiling at me in the produce section of king soopers while I am having this involved discussion with my kinderen. I smiled back a lot, but it didn't hit me till later how odd that is. Kinda forgot how nice it is to be smiled at. mmmm, melty brown eyes too...
