So I just got back from a movie that probably will lose to toy story 3 in oscar contention...

and yet I would stack it up there as one of the finest animated movies I have seen... I will recommend it to you too... but it's probably only showing at the local art house. And probably only for a week or so. s'ok, it'll be out on disc in a month or two.

but to see it big. mmm, you'd have to be the judge of it.

Ooooohhhh. I'm going to have to find where this is playing near me. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is probably one of my absolute favorite anime movies and this is from the same director. I found a place to watch it online http://www.animeshout.com/summer-wars-movie.html (72 minutes at a time with a 30 min break in between because I'm too cheap to pay). That was a fantastic movie. Really. I probably cried more watching this than Toy Story 3. I love this director's work and I'm going to go find some more. Thanks again for passing this along. You made my week.

...and I added the disk to my shopping list on Amazon. I know what I'll be spending my Xmas money on! ;)
