I can't believe it took me as long as it did to write that letter to the head of personnel at St. Mungo's. Usually when I want something, I go after it in a more timely manner. Though I suppose some of my hesitantcy could be because of where my relationship with Arthur is. We hardly talk anymore, unless its over the dinner table, and I guess I'm afraid that if I'm working with the way things are, they'll just get worse. Marriage takes work, and I don't think either of us are taking much intiative to show each other love and appreciation. Then again, my taking a job might bring us closer, as I won't be home at all hours for Arthur to come find me when he likes. Our first year or so of marriage was wonderful, even though we didn't see a lot of each other, and I never wanted more than the time I did have with him, as we had plenty. I suppose this will be a wait-and-see thing, though I do think we need to sit down and have a long heart-to-heart. We haven't shared feelings recently, and maybe its time to do so.
