I did it. I'm still reeling from the awkwardness of it all, but I got the job. Granted, it's an entry level position, which doesn't mean a lot of pay, but I was never in this for the money. Companionship and something to do, more like. Besides, once I re-certify, I'll be back into the position I had all those years ago, if I understood Mr Aubrey correctly.
Mr Aubrey. Now, he wasn't exactly what I was expecting to see when I went in this morning. I think it was him that made the interview the most awkward, considering he's got to be at least ten years my junior. Though, I'm hoping the senior brewer I'm supervised by is a little closer to my age, maybe then this whole going back to work thing won't be so awkward.
Your dear old Mum got the job she's been wanting. So, to celebrate, we're having a family dinner this Saturday. We're also celebrating Percy's and Ginny's birthdays. Does five p.m. work for everyone?
