I don't believe it. I've received a grand total of six birthday greetings over the past two days, one of them being Charlie's significant other, and one belonging to Arthur. Which means only two of my darling children remembered, and though I'm not one to like a huge fuss, I can't help but be hurt that I received no "Happy Birthday, Mum" from five of my children. Yes, I've nearly forgotten their birthdays this year myself, but I never failed to wish them a happy birthday. You'd think after giving birth and raising them they'd give me a bit more consideration, but I suppose I can let them slide, this once. I miss them all, and I wish we spent more time together as a family, but it seems like everyone is busy these days. I haven't talked to the majority of them since the dinner I held two months ago, and I haven't heard from dearest daughter since her own day. What's happening to us?
On another note, Auntie Muriel stayed true to her tradition of sending me a pumpkin log along with birthday greetings. Arthur and I really need to make time to go and see her, she's done a lot for us, and I do appreciate having her around. Besides, I think it's time for her to give me the recipe for her pumpkin logs, no one makes them like she does, and I'd certainly like to have the proper recipe to make them like she does.
