...vegas?

I might have an opportunity to go to Vegas in April.... It's for economics. I need to actually talk to Hutchinson tomorrow to see what this is all about but from what I've heard from my friends (who have already talked to him) there will be some conferences on why the government should keep their hands out of business. I just need to write a 200 ( Read more... )

your right to be cautious about traveling..I hate flying, and i've done it 3 times. I will tell you it would be a trip of a life time. think it over though. The only place i can't wait to go is italy. every where else we stop i think I might pass on the tours.

At the very least, it would be great to have on your resume, and it would be an experience you could say you had. You never know what you'll find in a given destination, and even if you just have a little adventure with some good eats along the way, it's a few stories you wouldn't have had to tell before. The nice thing about Vegas is that they borrowed cool stuff from everywhere else, so it's great for someone like you who doesn't like to travel to get a variety of experiences you'd have to go a lot of different places to do otherwise. Like the gondola rides at the Venetian hotel, and they have a replica of the Eiffle tower at the Paris hotel ( ... )

Plus flying really isn't that bad. The waiting is the worst part. It can even be kind of fun if you focus on the fabulous parts like getting to sit in a big chair and have people bring you beverages and snacks.

I think it would be a fantastic venture for you, and you're patient and strong enough to be able to handle flying. It is very rare that airplanes just fall out of the sky these days, so I think flying is very safe these days... but everything has its dangers, just like driving or walking down the street. Vegas sounds fantastic, and I'm your friends are going to get to go... plus it does sound like it'll be a great thing to put on your resume. It might also deal with being a teacher in the future if you choose to be one, about government and education.

Plus, Vegas food!!!! And Vegas sights! It'd be very, very pretty.
