I thought a lot about Katrina today (the storm)...(were moving out tomorrow for the new office in exton and its hard to concentrate and without stuff, you really can't work a whole lot!) and DBL and I discussed, via email, why people are behaving like they are...my theory(s) as stated in the following excerpt from that email ( Read more... )

Yep...Name's Artie Fufkin. I worked with Joe a few years ago, he is such a great guitar player that I tried to book him a record deal so he could make music like "Joe Satriani" and "Steve Vai." Unfortunately, I really messed up the deal and Joe never got his big break. I always told Joe that he should have kicked my ass for that one, but he's so nice that he never did.

Nice icon there, that flower/eye is cool.

Artie Fufkin, Polymer Records. Nice guy, really. Met him at a Holiday Inn. I could never fill the shoes of those amazingly talented guitarists, but Artie thought I had what it takes. Got me radio interviews, autograph signings (that no one showed up to), but was willing to take the blame, and it takes character to stand up for that. ;-)

Well technically at the time, I was involved with Midwest Promotions. I think part of the reason I F--ked it all up was because the market never really existed for Joe Dorn. I thought we could start a revolution out there.....demographics just proved otherwise, with .7 people per square mile..the only thing there was a market for was harvesting crops! ugh.
