motivation

Do you ever have weeks where you just don't feel motivated to do *anything*?

I'm lamenting having finished the Discworld series up to the current title. Before I finished it, whenever I felt this unmotivated, I'd think, "Well, I could read Terry Pratchett," and that would sound like a fun thing to do, and I'd read, and I'd be in a better mood.*

i haven't read pratchett in a long while. i can't believe you've finished the series. i find it daunting! but it's freaking funny. i'll get through the series someday. (i've only read about 7 of them thus far, however.)
have you read christopher moore's stuff? how about tom robbins? i find their humor comparable to pratchett's.

i've been lacking motivation for weeks, yet i still somehow am reading three-four novels a week for school, and apparently am getting nothing finished with my writing.

my head will explode soon.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy Halloween!

I've read all of Christopher Moore's stuff, and while I love him, I'm still surprised that he won the Quill for sci-fi/fantasy with The Stupidest Angel (which was funny but certainly not his best) when he was up against Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. Of course, in a reader poll, I imagine that more people actually read his book, as JS&MN was quite daunting.

Tom Robbins has been recommended to me any number of times and I keep forgetting to check him out. Thanks for the reminder!

Hope all is well up at the Company Store.
