Wa ha ha ha.

I had a lovely time in Seattle this weekend. One of the highlights was hanging out with norroway at the Science Fiction museum and getting a tour of her office. The other highlight was the wedding that brought me out to Seattle. I've got other friends also getting married in Seattle in August, and I'm looking forward to going back!

Is the soon-to-be new home of my Hawaii brother and family. They just found out this weekend. They had a choice between that or two less-than-desirable CA locations. Or, of course, quitting the job ... not really an option. They're excited about living there (and the kids are excited about the potential of seeing snow occasionally - without first taking an 11-hour flight to Grandma's house). - Jen

That's awesome! I could definitely see Seattle being a cool place to live, though it'll be a big change from Hawaii! And it's what, a four hour plane ride from you to Seattle? (I just did the Chicago leg after a layover, and I think that's about right.) So much closer!!!

Yes, about 4 hours - and even better, about $500 cheaper. It won't be a huge financial issue now for them to come visit (5 people * $800 plane tickets = OUCH!), or for us to visit them. Yay!

Hmmm... when will you be out there? Wouldn't it be fun if we overlapped! We'd have to meet at one of the B&Ns for coffee!
