So I got two requests for help in filling syllabi for courses. One is looking for bizarre, but neat articles on genes and the other is looking for freaks and weirdos sf short stories. which zora neale hurston are you reading? I'm on my fifth book of hers in two months, she is amazing.

Their Eyes Were Watching God. I got a free copy when I was supposed to teach it and then found out it wasn't on the syllabus, so now I'm reading it. It's good, it's just not holding my attention well yet.

Reading for a minute about the Earthseed religion makes me want to read a book where it is motivating people.

Neither of these short stories have the Earthseed religion in them or even much hope. You should grab the Parable books instead if that's what you want. Let me know if you do still want copies of these short stories.
