How much do I *luf* the latest episode of SG1? Thiiiiiiiis much!

All in very hushed tones....
Mitchell, "Whatchya got?"
Teal'c, "Shh!"
Mitchell, "Jaffa!"
Teal'c, "Quiet!"

*squees* It's very likely that they're to be the new Old Married Couple. Heh. New-OMC and Old-OMC can now go out on double dates. ;)

Hey! Is that what "omc" stands for in fanfic? I've always wondered, but kept forgetting to ask.

Teal'c, "It is nothing." And then he walks off all badass-Jaffa like.
Mitchell, "He's not doing that on purpose, is he? You know, to keep me interested."
Daniel, "Well that depends. Are you losing interest?"
Mitchell, "Nah, we haven't found so much as a snapped twig on this planet but, hey it's all good baby!"

*dies* Jack once called Daniel "SpaceMonkey". Cameron calls him "Sunshine" and "Baby." *lufs*

Aha! Now I know who Mitchell reminds me of. Fanfic!Jack
How many times have we read fic where Jack's wondering if Teal'c was doing something on purpose? Though it's usually inner dialogue that we find this little tidbit of Jack's ponderings on the big guy.

And it'd be hard to get those sort of thoughts across through facial expression I guess, which is why Mitchell asks Daniel of it out loud. *thinks* Suppose they could have used dialogue bubbles, though. And if they really wanted Cameron to channel fanfic!Jack, then they could also give Daniel a dialogue bubble, so that Cam and Daniel can speak to each other with their eyes. *nods*

"Sounds like a movie trailer." Hee! *lufs*

"Needs more bass." You know, I'm wondering if CJ was ever told that while saying one of his many "Brothers! Here me!" speeches, lol.

Daniel and his Black Bandana

They could easily do a spin-off on this alone. *bg* Hope they were able to contract bandana for future episodes! *squees*
*ponders on dedicating a page on Artia to BlackBandana!Daniel icons* Hmmm....

Dr. Lam

I said at one point that it would be a scary day indeed when SG1's writers and fanfic authors were thinking up the same storyboards. Honestly though, how many distinct ideas could there be without overlapping?

That reminds me... *bg*There was an argument recently on a certain list of one author complaining about another author using the exact same title for their story. One listsib didn't want people to confuse their stories and asked/demanded (whatever) for the other to change their title to something else. *mind boggles*
Um, yeah. Can all the Amanda's please stand up? And while you're at it, find a different name for yourselves (or ask your parents), 'cause it's confusing when you all use the same one. I just can't tell you guys apart, sorry! ;)

So, what am I getting at? ...I'm getting there. ;)

My favorite eps? Are the ones that deal with family issues. I've gorged myself on fics that deal with family members working in the SGC together (although, the story basis has to be believable in order for me to keep reading the fic.)

And now? My wish has been fulfilled to some capacity. We've got a super-sekrit family relationship going between the new General and the new CMO.

Albeit, my fave family-focused fics dealt with brothers and one of the main characters... except Mark for some reason. *scratcheshead* Side note: has anyone else seen the movie Brothers Grimm? *lufsverymuchly*

What I don't luf? Andromeda/Rommie. She just doesn't do it for me, so I wasn't ecstatic with LD being the new doc in town. *shrugs* The two reasons why I used to watch Andromeda were Tyr and Harper. And with Tyr gone, Harper wasn't capable of holding up my interest all on his own.

But, I'm beginning to like Dr. Lam more. It's taken up to Babylon for me to really warm up to this character and am also starting to warm up to this twisted sekrit background arc. That scene between Landry and Lam discussing the prisoner's fate, was... intriguing? It worked for me. :)

Even though it smacks of fanfic. ...but what doesn't these days?

Cameron Mitchell

This was a really awesome character development episode. I don't think there's anything that I didn't like about his arc.

And it's not like they had much time to add anything else to this story (I would love to know what they wound up cutting out of this episode), but what I would have liked to see was a ghostly rescue courtesy of The Crystal Skull.

How?

The Sodan village was there, but not there. So I'd guess that they were out of phase. Note to self, UAVs should be equipped with those phase thingys that the Tokra gave the SGC during Show and Tell, to at least check two layers of any given planet it scans. *feels geeked*

I would have loved to see a moment of SG1 and company walking through the village, but not seeing it.

Cameron would be all overjoyed one minute that the calvary has arrived, but quickly wary since no one was shooting him out of there or even at the very least, paying any attention to him.

He'd realise that he would have to get himself out of there on his own, 'cause SG1 hadn't yet figured out what was going on.

And he's been fangirling them all this time, so it might be just a tad difficult deep down inside that the great SG1 couldn't cut it in getting him out of there. Might even knock a few knotches out from under their pedestal. ;)

Heh. Maybe it's just me. *g*
