The current LJ app

Testing out the new LJ app. It appears to work much much better than the old dinosaur app that I had previously.!!

It even appears to work fairly well with voice recognition.

We'll see how it goes.

Was it available through iTunes or did you have to do something else to get it? I need to upgrade mine (since I upgrades to iOS5 my lj app is crashing like every time I try to use it).

I just went to iTunes and searched for LiveJournal.

Haven't used it much so don't take my test post as an endorsement. I don't know what you're using now, and I don't actually know how new it is. It's a lot newer than the one I downloaded two years ago, and apparently never got any updates for. I'm wondering if I somehow had a beta or demo version, and didn't realize I needed to update manually to a full version.There are a lot of complaints on the feedback page about crashing. I'm just coming from such an antiquated place that anything is better than what I had.

I had 0.5.3 installed as well. Although I had 2 lj apps installed. This newer version is from this September. I dunno if I was also missing upgrades or what.

So far so good. I don't care about reading my friends page or commenting within the ap. the only thing I like to be able to do is post from my phone. I never had issues with the older version (see I read and comment thru Safari) but when I upgraded to the new iOS my of app started crashing like all the time. I'm excited that I was able to post from there again.

Yeah, I don't care about reading and commenting either, just posting.

Mine was always such a pain before that I only used it for short things, but the new version looks like it might be better made.
