So...trip and meme. Lets get started!!
So, went to Cedar Point on Wednesday with
voiceofshadows, and according to the directions, it was supposed to take 4 hours, but it only took us two. I think there was some construction that Google Maps thought was still there. Anyway, we made it in 2, with only one turn around because lo and behold: street signs are small and glaring sun? Makes ya miss stuff. So, when we finally get into Sandusky, we ended up following this Texas van most of the way and then just followed the signs because it was SO MUCH EASIER than all the directions. Seriously? Slight left? What kind of directions are those???
And so we enter the parking lot, only to realize that we have forgotten Advil. Which yes, is a necessity. Me being gimp and my friend also being gimp, it just makes lives easier. So we lather on the sun screen and get into the packed park. I know it's summer and all, but I thought going on a weekday would make things better. :\ Guess not. Waited an hour and a half in line for the Maverick, which was SO FUCKING FUN!! next time I'm definitely going on that thing like...more than the Raptor. Seriously. Went on Thunder Canon like, twice because I'm insane and wanted to get SOAKED, The Gemini once, and we were going to do the sky-line thing that takes you across the park, but there were some storms coming so they shut it down early. They did the same thing with The Dragster, which pissed off all the people that were on the ride and waiting for it to go/in line. I'm not sure if they had to get off or not...as we went shopping.
I have two shirts from Cedar Point that make me look like a walking billboard. I really wished they had Advil or else I would have gone on more rides. :\ My ankle was killing me after the second round of Thunder Canon, so I wasn't really able to stand for very long. Plus it was really effing hot out. :\ The next day was so much better. It made me wish I had Thursday off instead of Wednesday just because of the better weather.
Anyway, checked into the hotel at 4something or other, and had Subway because that was right next door. It was a really nice hotel too! I love Comfort Inn/Comfort Suites and will swear up and down by them. It cost 100 bucks for the night, but free internet, breakfast, pool, and really nice rooms are totally worth it. Seriously. It made me wish I brought my laptop, just because. Although we did watch The Weather Channel for a little while and watch the storms roll through (the hotel was in Huron, which is about 45 minutes from Cedar Point give or take) Cedar Point and head toward us. What was scary was that they rolled through Southgate before hitting Ohio, and I was worried about the state of the apartment since no one was home. :\
That was before passing out. XD I woke up at like, nine at night and decided to sleep some more until 1 in the morning (which is like...1 in the afternoon for me) and played some Pokemon. And then just listened to my mp3 player until
voiceofshadows woke up and we planned on doing something else in Ohio since we were there. The Amish thing looked really cool but it was too far out of the way. Plus, she had school and I had work so that was a no. :\ We ended up going to the Sandusky Mall and just loitering around there for an hour or so before heading home.
That was after the hour we had to kill because we had left too early and the mall wasn't open, but the Target next to it was so we bought this card game Things where you get a card like "things you wouldn't say at a wedding" and you'd have to start naming them. Sitting on the trunk of her car. In the mall's parking lot. It's how we do in Michigan.
Bought some manga (surprise surprise) and a lighter. Because all the damn smokers at my work keep losing theirs. Don't smoke myself, but a lighter can be handy anyway. Like burning some robber's face, relighting a pilot light, having a light source if the power goes out, cooking a can of soup, or just to have something cool in my pocket. XD Yes I'm odd, deal.
The way to the mall was the fun part. Did you know Ohio doesn't have turnarounds?!? THAT YOU CAN JUST TAKE A REGULAR LEFT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?!? It'd be like...Fort or Telegraph not having a turnaround and you can just turn left on the one side of the street and not have to take a Michigan Left... We discovered this by accident when we were going the wrong way down a street and were wondering where the turnarounds were and just ended up going down a side-street and found out that we could turn left. /lame
Ohio has such smoother roads too...the entrance into Michigan is like insta-change bad roads. XD
Well, that was my trip. Which was pretty fun considering!! Although next time, WILL NOT FORGET ADVIL AND GO ON MORE RIDES!! Seriously. I'm looking at you Magnum, Millennium Force, and Raptor.
Have three days worth of music...or more. /doesn't remember the part I'm on

I can play a LOT of songs on the saxaphone. Or I used to be able to...I'd most likely have to work to get my chops back. Have two that KEEP GETTING STUCK IN MY HEAD!!

Marched Pictures at an Exhibition my Sophomore year of marching band and this song would get stuck in ALL of our heads. I swear, I still remember the fingerings.
And a bonus from the same show. Had to move 6 inches in 32 steps. And keep my feet in time. Backwards. My calves were killing me but this song is so much fun! And the creepy video was the only one I could find that wasn't a Pianist. :\

The original has this GREAT sax solo where the guitar is, and I've always wanted to be able to play it since the day I had the sax in my hands. Never could figure out all the notes though...
And the Foo Fighters made the best cover of it. Ever.
There. Now you're all cultured and I'm caught up with the meme. 8D
Peace,
should sleep soon yess psycho
