Simon is good. That's what Jak thinks. because I never get tired of talking about it, he rescued his sister from evil government. That scores him endless brownie points for Jak. He has sacrificed so much for his sister, and even if he couldn't punch to save his life, Jak thinks of him as a true fighter, and fighters deserve the good things in life. So yes, Jak feels that he and Simon are alike, and will treat him as a kindred spirit. Even though they do have problems connecting sometimes, Jak puts it down more to him not saying the right words than Simon being a hopeless social retard.
So hey, how DOES Jak smell now? XD I figured it was safe to assume he smelled /less/ dark, but I don't want to fiat anything more than that. ♥ Drop me a line! I'm off work at 10:00 pm (PDT) tonight, though, so I won't be replying until then.
Ah, as was mentioned before, Jak's darkness works in peculiar ways. First of all, it's a natural resource in his universe, one which individuals trained in doing so can draw upon for superpowers. Darkness in Kingdom Hearts is, as per my guess, the collective bad mojo gathered up in the universe which seeks to actively influence it's inhabitants. Dark Eco does possess a certain tainting influence as well, but not to the extent of Darkness. It doesn't have a will of it's own.
To briefly summarize... Jak probably smells very vaguely of "Darkness". His Light Eco supresses it, but I play him as Dark having an edge over Light, partially because he's been using it for a longer time than Light, partially because camp has been working as an outside influence and enhancing Dark a little.
