A little one: Otacon is guy who seems book-smart. A little weird, but book-smart and into the stranger functions of camp. Hence, he'll go to him for any technical stuff that shows up. That, and I think Hal Emmerich is the best thing since sliced bread, but that's just me. He's not spazzy enough to make Jak think about Vin, but still. Jak sorta likes the nerds. They're nonthreatening.
