Oh, so the new piece in the hallway is yours... I hadn't noticed the signature. But I loved the colours.

Pretty website design. I love the compass layout. If I may grouch about anything, I'd say that some people will find the ever-changing runes distracting---maybe make them loop once and stop?

You've got more great stuff than I'd realized before. I'm guessing you won't mind if I publicize the site in my journal later?

Cool.

If you're looking for feedback, you might want to make the links for portfolio, etc. a little darker - I missed them at first.

I deliberately made the site a little obscure for my own vanity. I think people looking for the catalog will be able to find it, and I definitely wanted the cryptic runes as a dominant theme.

One of the reasons I like the shifting runes is because of what happens to them when you mouse over the links.

Anyway, your comments are valid and appreciated!

...oh. Of course, me realizing that requires me being awake. Now that I've had coffee, I can see that, too.

Neat.

Very nice! And the way you have the runes do stuff on mouseover is very cool. Do agree that a tad darker links would be helpful. People have a fairly low frustration quota, especially if you're hoping that they'll give you money.

Along those lines, what connection speed are you expecting? Coming in over Comcast, then through my company VPN it took a fair bit of time to load - perhaps 6-8 seconds of watching the pictures come in. (Had a short moment of "oh dear!" on seeing all the little picture icons for the runes, wondering just how large a page it would be.)

But wow...

Yeah, it does look like I'll need to crank down the quality of the jpegs to improve the download time. I was trying to improve that from my last site which was quite a hog.

That's two votes for darker links. I guess I'd better fix that too.

Thanks!
