Someone edited video and photo from Saturday's riot into a little montage. I was there during the "Fuck you Lewisburg" part, but I left before the pelting of cop cars with beer and cups happened. I still don't know how many people got arrested, but I heard they were just pulling people from porches and the sidewalk at random to scare people away ( Read more... )

I saw that! What the heck happened?
Seems like a really dumb reason to "riot" when there are much more pressing issues going on in the world.
But, I guess that's why they call it the "Bucknell bubble".

From what I understand, since there's all this construction 7th street, St. Catherine's is basically blocked off and some people had a keg outside thinking no cops would be around. I was passing through on my over to 5th Street from 8th when they arrested someone, which then turned into the "Fuck You Lewisburg" chant. There were a bunch of people outside surrounding the three LPD cars, and they called for backup. I think every cop within a 50 mile radius responded, I left as the state troopers rolled up and started wading into the crowd. I went back out to look later and about 15 cop cars had blocked off 6th Street from St.George down to Zelda's and were talking to people in the streets. I heard as many as 20 or 30 arrests were made, but it could be exaggerated ( ... )
