ha! I've gotten the British accent thing despite being from the Panhandle, too. Of course, I have a stereotypical midwestern/Minnesota accent thing (mom wouldn't let us talk like Texans), which makes such a comment even more comical.

Geese repellant? Oh, dear.

Maybe it's just pronouncing words correctly? I'm not sure. I did have voice lessons for a while so that probably makes me more conscious of how I say things.

8. I have a British accent. I always thought I had a typical urban/sub-urban North Texas accent, but apparently I sound British to some? I'm so confused.

Okay - we have to hang out in a couple weeks when I'm in Bedford - I have to hear this.

Yeah, we keep talking about getting together but then I get absentminded and forget when you're here. Is it the week before Christmas you're in town?

Hrm, I have also noticed that some east-coasters get thrown by exotic words like 'Tarrant' (which I did say). That could have been part of it.

I've got from Christmas to Jan 2 off (barring some unforeseen catastrophe).
