Something in Rood House has been humming and buzzing all weekend. About five minutes ago it stopped very abruptly. It seems so quiet now. I hope it stays that way.

Seriously, though, the school finally e-mailed us who live in the building about it today. It's being caused by a "deteriorating heat pump." So it's not gone...yet. But it's supposed to be after tomorrow. Supposed to.
