Day 3 of Asylum - The WIPs, they're back!
I knew I'd not have much time today and lo and behold. Behind on commenting so will be on it shortly! Also woke up with such a severe leg cramp it went from ankle to knee joint so been hobbling all day it's been wonderful.
There's also a Tawny Owlet on Springwatch right now who has been dubbed Grub and he's an adorable little duster.
I took a photo of my desk yesterday for the desk thread soooo.
My desk is a tip chapter 11. Just cut off on the left is my Zelda 3DS XL on a bunch of 3DS boxes and on the right next to my watch is an Arthas Funko from the States as hey selling in the UK can't do that when you can order from Blizzard and get slammed by import charges instead.
Todays done in about ten minutes bug cat is a humble Ladycat, also a popular model. When I get time again I'll probably do these up properly as hey why the hell not.
And uh this. I knew this'd likely happen. So my comic Red Ribbons is a panel a page dealie as I really struggle to read paneled comics often times to the point of somehow completely missing panels at times which is stupid. Only two pages are live right now with this being page three which is larger than the ending upload size (Which is 700x700, half of my working size) and just as messy. It's currently following Alida, one of the main characters who is about five? There is also no talking until she gets to where she's heading to so it's all visual and hey lets shove a bunch of random details and see if anybody notices kinda thing right now.
Chapter 1 is based during 1920 Germany with some historical fudging and a narrow miss of the coastal blockade that happened after WW1. The days and months will never be specifically mentioned in comic but this is around August so when I end up doing the flower garden it's gonna be a bleeding nightmare to find species native flowering then.
As you can probably tell I'm still colour blocking right now as these are as tidy as my lines go, I start to strip them out to replace them with their fully coloured counterparts bar certain areas which lets me fix things on the go but also the problem of I can fix things on the go. Red Ribbons also contains nearly everything I'm bad at (Buildings, people, consistency of characters, fashion regardless of historical accuracy or not etc) so literally threw myself into the fire with this one.
Tomorrow better be saner!
