Since it might be a while before I post again I figured I might as well throw this here, too~ I also just really like doing these to see how much I accomplished in a month, heheh!!
July was by far the toughest month though, ohman. Writing a piece every day for
Flash Fiction Month required so much of my concentration and time, but in the end I'm super-happy I stuck with it as I got some pretty nice character/story-centric pieces out of it, heheh!
Soooo let's see, for this month, I...
Did more work on an animation (though still haven't really "finished" it, hahahah oops;;)
Did a sketchbook page commission for
vt08 over on dA...
A birthday gift for my friend
anqila, starring my naga Ayra and her OC Ivy...
aaand tried to do an illustration for an Angel Dust thing (
AD - Wounded) but gave up, lol.
I DID however complete my July Calendar illustration for Angel Dust, which turned out a fair bit better, though not perfect, but it was a fun challenge for me and kept me working on my watercoloring~
Here are just some more watercoloring things I dabbed at as well~ (a cute watercolor Sweet)
(And a dirty scrappy Corryn, pahahahah)
Aaaaand a nice, formal reference sheet for Corryn, too, that was waaay overdue, hahahah.
Aaaaaaand... uuuuhhhh... otherwise.... just a looooooot of stupid sketchy doodles.
...A LOT.
Of really. really. stupid things lol.
Yannas! <3
Storyboard studies for the actors' faces
Grumpy younger!Seths hahahaha
Aaaaand cue my Sariel/Jean and Salim obsession...
Including... this... thing... that happened...
(To be honest I'm still kind of fond of it, hahahah;;~)
Aaaand a lot more stupidity...
With hair ruffling!
And another illustration, this time for a thing I wrote:
Blood & Milk Also found time while traveling to do a quick airport study...
And also did a fun picture of Corryn vs. LieLie, hahahah! ...lazed out of it though, like... too much of the stuff that I draw... /cry
Aaaaand otherwise just some fun side projects; the DIY calligraphy nibs...
And finishing my Yukikaze jacket, thanks to my amazing friend
Tinto!!
So in general, it was a bit less art than usual for me (err, well, maybe less "quality" art and more super-quick rough sketches, pahahahah) but I'm still really pleased with what I accomplished that month, as I got a lot of writing done on top of keeping up with Artslam, not to mention did a ton of storyboards and attended a whole bunch of meetings too, before coming home from Minneapolis... so it was a really, really productive month for me, even if there's not too much to show for it! It really makes me glad I took up stuff like the Calendar project though, so that I can have at least one nice illustration come out of this month, hahahah!!
And, of course, I started on my Jean/Salim kick and I have NO REGRETS, HAHAHAHA. CANNIBAL CUTIES FOREVER.
I don't want Artslam to end man; it's too much fun!
