ooh neat sketches! the more I hear about Koryn the more intrigued I become!
also, as someone who also skips the comic thumbnail step - in my opinion it's really not mandatory. I know it's something that just about every professional recommends to aspiring comic-makers, but I never found the step to be particularly useful. I think it's good if you're making a compositionally challenging page, or maybe struggling to visualize how a page should be put together. But otherwise, I also skip it and draw the full page in a smaller sketchbook. It's easier for me to visualize the page that way and I end up wasting less time on a pointless step. Sometimes I redraw a page, but it's not often enough to justify a thumb for each page, and my sketchbook is small enough that I don't waste much time sketching. tl;dr - just do whatever process works best for you! just because people say you should do something one way doesn't mean you HAVE to do it that way.
