good point...d'oh!

Basically, the decks were screwed and put out this horribly distorted bassy white noise, and since we'd planned on doing 50/50 CDs and records, that wrecked any plans we had. Wasn't familiar with the poncey new CD layers, so couldn't work out how to switch them off continuous mode, plus i was too drunk to figure it out.

It was an absolute disaster in all senses of the word.
