There was a robin that was on its last leg out by our garage the other day. It was sad... let you get as close as you wanted... whatcha gonna do?

Yes... I've seen Voot's work... very nice. :)
There's a similarity between my drawing today and his birdies... not intentional... but but probably a subconscious "high-five" on my part.

I am frantically trying to get laundry done, and do "something" with my hair. Did I tell you I'm doing the "growing-it-out" thing again.... I want to hack it off so bad!

I am aspiring to get there but until lately haven't been motivated. I'm hoping that this Illustration Friday kick will beef up my portfolio enough to get my foot in the right direction.

I am really touched by your story. We had some mourning doves who used to come each year to nest on top of our air conditioner. Two summers ago, the nest was attacked by a hawk who flew off with a baby dove! That was the end of our little family... I love your illustration for its colors, lines, and composition, and especially its mood. Nice job!
